Congrats Belgian footballers!

Viime viikon perjantaina Belgian jalkapallojoukkue varmisti paikkansa ensi vuoden MM-kisoihin Brasiliassa.

Suomalaisena on hassua seurata kuinka vähän isänmaallisuutta Belgiassa on. Täällä on toisin.

// I am so excited and happy, oh my oh my.

Last Friday the football team of Belgium qualified for the World Cup next year in Brazil. The devils won their enemy Croatia beautifully with 1-2, though Croatia was said to win the group easily. But then the red devils came and took it all! The journey has been long, but they totally deserve it.

Yesterday was the last match against Wales, which ended in 1-1 tie, but it didn't hold the Belgians back. They celebrated in Brussels deep in to the night. It is so nice to see that finally the Belgians are getting the pride of their own countrymen and come with thousands to support their own. As a Finn it's weird to notice how little patriotism they have. We are known for supporting our own, hanging the flags out for the smallest reason and beging proud to be Finnish. Here it's nothing like that. But when the games start next June I am pretty sure that that will change fast and the flags will hang out from windows, we can hear singing on the streets and everyone will wear the colours of the country. I hope the city will set up the big screen in the summer, that would be awesome!
