Enjoying my holiday

Nyt on tässä parit päivät puuhailtu kaikkea kivaa! Ollaan käyty kirppiksellä josta napsahti mukaan 2 eurolla H&M beige pitkähihainen neule ja 4,5 eurolla keltainen Vilan toppi joka on IHANA. Sitten me ollaan lounasteltu, käyty alennusmyynneissä, grillattu, käyty kävelyllä, oltu lettukesteillä sekä tupperin kutsuilla! Hiukan on ollut kiva loma :-) 

Alesta ei kyllä löytynyt mitään muuta kuin kasvovesi, ehkä aloin jo säästellä rahoja kun huomenna me mennään Helsinkiin kahdeksi päiväksi kiertelemään Hietalahden kirpputoria. Tupperin kutsuilta mä ostin sellasen lounasastian mihin saa voileivät ja sitten siinä on välilevy ni sit saa toiselle puolelle päärynän tai jonkun toisen hedelmän tai vaikka porkkanan paloja. Ihan kiva :-) Siel oli ihania turkooseja astioita mitkä olis kaikki voinut ostaa, mutta onneksi äiti oli mukana sanomassa kuinka niistä useat jäisi käyttämättä ;-)

//  I've done all kinds of fun things the past few days! We have gone to second hand stores where I found a beige knitted shirt from H&M for 2€ and a yellow top from Vila for 4,5€ which is AMAZING. Then I have lunched outside, gone to sales, walks, done BBQ, been to a pancake party and to a tupperware party! It has been a really nice holiday until now :-)

I didn't find anything else from sales than a cleaning product for my face, I guess I am already saving up for our trip to Helsinki tomorrow for two days.  But I did  buy a little lunchbox from tupperware. You can put sandwiches in it and there is a little wall to keep two sides separated so on the other side I can put my pear or other fruit or little pieces of carrots for example. It's nice :-) They had these turquoise pots that were sooooo cute I could've bought them all, thank god my mother was there next to me to tell me that I will never ever use most of them ;-)

Mun pikkuveljeni (tai "pikku"veli...) pääsi ripiltä viime sunnuntaina ja mä olin tosi onnellinen kun pääsin myös häntä onnittelemaan :-) Sää ei oikeen suosinut mutta ei se menoa haitannut!

// My little brother (15 years old) or "little" brother as I call him had his communion last Sunday. I was so happy I could be there to congratulate him on his special day :-) The weather was working against us but it didn't stop us. :-) In Finland children have only one communion. They follow lessons, go to church, go to a week long camp and it all comes to an end at the church where they get their papers. I don't really know what the story behind the white robes are... 

 

BBQ and swans

Tänään grillattiin isolla porukalla perheen kesken sadetta ja ukkosta uhaten. Vähän sitä rapisi mutta ei yhtään haitannut! Tunnelma oli katossa ja ruoka hyväääääääää! Me käytiin vähän kävelemässäkin ja sitten pelattiin mölkkyä. Mä voitin melkein viimeiselle kierroksella mutta sitten putosin pois höh... Niin lähellä!
Oli tosi ihana päivä, sellanen täydellinen lomapäivä. :-)

Sen jälkeen käppäiltiin vielä tähän ihan lähelle yhdelle pienelle lammelle ihmettelemään kun siellä kaksi joutsenta uiskenteli poikasensa kanssa. Kuinka kaunis se onkaan. Yritin vähän zoomailla sitä mutta ei ne antaneet tulla kovin lähelle.

Täksi viikoksi on vielä monen monta suunnitelmaa kuten kirppistä täällä sekä Helsingissä, ravintolassa syöntiä, alennusmyyntejä, tupperware kutsut sekä ihan vaan rentoutumista. Ihanaa :-)

// Today we had a BBQ with a big bunch of my family  even though they said it will rain and thunder. It rained a little bit but it didn't ruin anything :-) We had a great time and the food was really goooood. We went to walk around the village and we played some outside games. I almost won the third round but yeah again so close yet so far... :-( It was a perfect holiday day today. :-)

After that, we walked to this little pond near here and wondered two swans and their little swan. I tried to take a good picture but unfortunately they don't let people come too close so I did my best. 

We have still a lot of plans for this week like second hand stores and markets here and in Helsinki, eating in a restaurant, sales in shops, tupperware party and just relaxing. Amazing :-)

My brother's wedding

Tänään oli isoveljeni Jarmon ja hänen vaimonsa Suvin hääjuhlat. He olivat menneet jo joulukuussa naimisiin maistraatissa mutta nyt he järjestivät juhlat perheelle ja ystäville, kaikille niille jotka eivät silloin päässeet tuleemaan, kuten minä!

Me vähän pelättiin että alkaako sataa vettä kun aamulla tuli ihan täydeltä taivaalta alas, mutta kyllä se sitten lakkas ja aurinkokin paistoi välillä ihanasti. Ruoka oli todella maukasta ja kakku maistui kaikille niin hyvin ettei sitä tainnut jäädä yhtään. Juhlat olivat tosiaan heidän pihalla joten ruuat yms olivat itsetekoisia alusta asti (minäkin olin auttamassa!). Morsian itse on 8kk raskaana (kyllä minusta tulee siis ensi kuussa täti :-)))), joten hääpukuna toimi kaunis mekko joka oli ainoa kivannäköinen löytö johon mahtui :-) Voit korjata jos olen väärässä Suvi :-D

Harmikseni unohdin tyystin antaa jonkun kuvata itseäni :-( Olin siinä kuvaamassa kaikkia vieraita kun he saapuivat ja sitten auttelin keittiössä että siinä tohinassa ne kuvat sitten jäi. Päivän sankareista mulla on kuitenkin kuvia joten siinä teille :-)

// Today was my big brother Jarmo's and his wife Suvi's weddingparty. They had already gotten married last December but now they gave out a party to family and friends who couldn't  be there back then, like me! 

We were worried for a while about the weather cuz it was raining like crazy when we woke up but in the end it stayed dry and even the sun came out. Food was really good, they held the party at home in their garden so they had also made the food themselves (I helped too!). The cake was particularly delicious, and I don't think there was a piece left. The bride is 8 months pregnant (yes I am going to be an aunt :-))),  so the wedding dress was not white but the only thing she could find that was pretty and it fit :-D

Unfortunately I forgot to ask someone to take a picture of myself :-( I was taking foto's of everyone who arrived and then I helped in the kitchen so with all that going on I forgot to the pictures. But I have nice pictures of the lovely couple. And as it goes for the picture about cutting the cake, the one who kicks the floor (or the partners toes depending on the rules) first as the knife cuts the cake, gets to set the rules later and play the boss ;-)

Brussels Zaventem

Täällä sitä nyt istutaan Brysselin lentokentällä odottamassa koneeseen pääsyä. Mä lennän kohta kotiin!!! :-) lennon pitäisi lähteä vähän yli tunnin päästä että vielä pitäisi jaksaa vähän odottaa. Mä otin Finnairin lennon ni pääsee heti siihen tunnelmaan ku kaikki puhuu Suomea ja saa jotain hyvää suomalaista ruokaa lennolla. Mulla oli tässä vähän ylimääräistä aikaa ni kävin shoppailemassa (vieläkin liian kallista vaikka on -50% alessa), kokeilin aurinkolaseja ja tassuttelin ympäriinsä. Nyt mä luen vähän juoruja ja mutustelen mansikoita, eiköhän se kohta ala olla jo aika pistää nokka kohti Helsinkiä! Pian nähdään :-)

// Here I am at Brussels airport waiting to board my plane to Finland. I'm going home :-) The flight should depart in an hour so I need to be patient for a while more. I booked a Finnair flight so I get straight in to the mood when I hear Finnish all around me and get served some good Finnish food. Mm :-) I had some extra time so I went shopping (everything was still so expensive despite the -50% discount cuz of the sales), I tried on some sunglasses and wondered around. Now I will read some gossip and eat my strawberries and in no time it's time to start going towards Helsinki!! :-)

Results and sunshine

Nyt tuli kokeiden tulokset ja hienosti pääsin läpi kaikista!! JES!! Ihan hyviä pisteitäkin tuli vaikka ei sillä nyt niin väliä (enää ;-). Nyt voin nauttia kesästä, ansaitusta lomasta ja toivottavasti auringosta! Sitä mä sitten teinkin eilen kun olin Kaijalla grillaamassa. Nautittiin ihanasta paisteesta, hyvästä ruuasta, juomasta ja seurasta :-)

Nyt alan laskea päiviä ja tunteja perjantaihin jolloin matkaan Suomeen :-)

// I got my results for my exams and I passed them all!! YAY! I got even some good points, not that it matters (anymore ;-). Now I can enjoy summer, holiday and hopefully also the sun! I did just that yesterday when I went to Kaija's place to barbecue. We enjoyed the sunshine, good food, drinks and great company :-)

Now I start counting the days and hours until Friday when I fly to Finland :-)
