Me käveltiin keskellä päivää Champs-Élyséesillä ja huomattiin kuinka huima jono Laduréen kaupan edustalla oli, että päätettiin tallustella ohi vaan. Ei nappaa tollanen puolen tunnin jonottelu vaikka macaronit ihan järkyttävän hyviä ovatkin. Vähän harmitti kyllä kun ei sitten tullut aamusta ostettua niitä Laduréen toisesta puodista, jossa ei ollut jonoa. Ei se nyt niin kauheaa olis ollut, jos olis jäänyt ostamatta, koska meillähän on Antwerpenissa myös oma pikku macaron mekka.
Illalla päätettiin kuitenkin kello 23:50 ottaa suunnaksi Champs-Élysées, se kun oli sopivasti matkan varrella, ja mitä huomaankaan ilokseni? Ladurée on vielä auki! Ja ei ku sisään ja pari macaronia pussiin ja mussuttamaan. Nam. Loput söin seuraavana päivänä auringossa Sacre-Coeurin portailla.
Joskus elämä hymyilee kun sitä ei osaa odottaa.
Ladurée on siis ranskalainen leipomo, missä myydään kaikenlaisia herkkuja, mutta kaikkein suosituimpia ovat eriväriset ja makuiset macaronit. Niitä myydään 15 000 kappaletta joka päivä. Heidän puoteja ei ole ihan joka puolella mutta Euroopassa macaroneja myydään seuraavissa kaupungeissa: Antwerpen, Crans-Montana, Dublin, Geneve, Istanbul, Lausanne, Lontoo, Luxembourg, Milano, Monaco, Pariisi (tietty), Rooma, Tukholma ja Zürich.

I don't like to stand in a line, at least when it looked like I'd have to wait for more than half an hour, even though the macarons there are heavenly delicious. But in the end it wouldn't have been such a big deal if I didn't get any macarons because we have our own macaron heaven in Antwerpen.
In the evening at 23:50 we decided to head back to Champs-Élysées though, just because it was conveniently on the way back to the hotel, but what do I see? Ladurée is still open! So I quickly ran in and bought some macarons and ate some right away. The rest I saved and enjoyed the next day in the sun at the stairs of Sacre-Coeur.

Ladurée is a French bakery, where they sell all kinds of treats, but macarons are by far the most popular and famous treats that they sell. They sell more than 15 000 of those colourful tasty cookies a day. You can't find them just about every where, but in Europe you can find a store in Antwerp, Crans-Montana, Dublin, Geneva, Istanbul, Lausanne, London, Luxembourgh, Milan, Monaco, Paris (of course), Rome, Stockholm and Zürich.
