Helsinki, Finland

Olin pienellä kaupunkimatkalla Helsingissä kaksi päivää. Maalaiset kun päästää vapaaksi sinne suureen kaupunkiin ni se ei koskaan tiedä mitään hyvää... Ei vaan! Kiva reissu oli vaikka me suurimmaksi osaksi pyörittiinkin siinä Hietalahden kirppiksellä, joka oli matkan tarkoituskin. 

 Me lähdettiin aamulla aikaisin että oltaisiin siellä hyvissä ajoin, koska tunnetusti kaikki parhaat menevät jo heti kun ne ihmiset siellä pystyttää niitä pöytiään ja tavarat ostetaan suoraan kasseista. Siellä me sit kierrettiin ainakin neljä tuntia, kahviteltiin ja syötiin välillä tietysti. Mun veli kävi siinä myös kahden koiransa Raulin ja Diegon kanssa moikkaamassa meitä kun hän itse asuu Helsingissä (muttei ole koskaan käynyt siellä kirppiksellä, miten hän pystyy!!). Sit me käytiin vähän keskikaupungilla kävelemässä ja ihmettelemässä sitä vilinää ;-) 

Me oltiin yötä Sokos hotel Albertissa, joka sijaitsee ihan siinä Hietsun kulman takana, jipii! Huone oli siisti, iso, erittäin hiljainen ja sänky pehmeä. Parhaat pointsit kuitenkin ihan mielettömän maukkaasta aamupalasta, nam!! Toisena päivänä mekin oltiin siellä kirppiksellä sitten ekojen joukossa... ;-) Nyt olen sitten taas takaisin täällä maalla ja huomenna on edessä pitkä matka takaisin kotiin Antwerpeniin!

// I did a little city trip to Helsinki for two days. My main reason for the trip was this great second hand market that is every day in Helsinki on a square (=outside) and the clothes and other stuff there are just amazing.  

We left early in the morning to be there among the first ones, cuz it's common knowledge that the best things always go first. Some people even grab stuff from the hands of the people who come sell there while they are setting up their table! We walked around there for about four hours, stopping in between only to get coffee and snacks. Then my brother came to see us for a bit with his two little doggies Raul and Diego cuz he lives in Helsinki himself (can you imagine he never went to the second hand market there even though he lives just around the corner!!). We also hit the city centre but it was way too crowdy (and exepensive after all the second hand clothes;D).

We spent the night at Sokos hotel Albert that is just around the corner from the second hand market. The room was clean, big, very quiet and the bed was very soft!! But the best part was their amazing breakfast, yummyy!! The second day we were also one of the first ones at the market and we found some real great pieces ;-) Now I am back at my mom's place until tomorrow when my holiday is over and it's time to go back home to Antwerp.

I'd like to make a photo post about my clothes I bought but I am leaving some behind here so I will just make a little list so you get an idea about the price range, in case you are ever visiting Helsinki ;-)
