Soon I'm off again :-)

Lauantaina suuntana on tadadadadaaa... Suomi!! :-) Mä lähden taas reissun päälle. Tällä kertaa syynä toisen veljeni häät! Jännittävää eikö, niin juhlan täytteinen kesä että. Ensin tehdään kuitenkin pieni vierailu Lahdessa ihanan Annan luona! En malta odottaa, iiks. Kohta nähdään!

// Saturday I head towards dadada drum rolls... Finland!! I am going back home again. This time cuz my other brother is getting married! Exciting isn't it, so many festivities in one summer huh. First we will do a little detour to Lahti to see fabulous Anna :-) I can't wait, yay. See you guys soon!

Enjoy while you still can

Onpas ollut hiljaista täällä blogin puolella.. Ei ole tapahtunut oikeen mitään tässä viikon aikana. Me käytiin Ikeassa hakemassa Angelolle uusi tuoli tonne "työhuoneeseen", olen käynyt ahkerasti töissä, salilla, nauttinut satunnaisista auringonsäteistä.. Siinä se sit kai olikin. 

Olen ollut aika yllättänyt kuinka vähän aikaa jää itselle viikolla kun on kaikki päivät töissä. Mä halusin tietenkin tehdä töitä että en mä nyt valita mutta kuitenkin se on suuri muutos siihen nähden kun ennen olen saanut olla viikollakin aika paljon kotona. Viikonloput ovat siis pyhitetty nauttimiselle ja kaikelle kivalle. 

Perjantaina me käytiin Casa Blanca - festivaaleilla. Olihan se ihan kivaa, mutta kai mä olen sit vaan jo niin vanha kun en osaa nauttia tollasesta menosta enää kun koko ajan joku tönii, saa kaljaa päällensä ja musiikkikaan ei oikein iske. :-D Mun mielestä siel oli aivan liian paljon ihmisiä. Just luinkin lehdestä että 22 000 perjantaina ja yhteensä neljän päivän aikana 80 000, joka on 7000 ihmistä enemmän kuin viime vuonna. Tungos!

Lauantaina me hyökättiin kaupungille kun Angelolla ei vielä ollut pukua häihin (niistä myöhemmin). Löydettiin tosi kaunis tumman harmaa puku. Saatte kuvia kahden viikon päästä sitten kun ne häät ovat ohi :-) Sit me käytiin Summer Bar:issa. Siel on lapsille vaikka mitä tekemistä, hiekkaa, pieni uima-altaan kaltainen juttu ja aikuisille ruokaa, halpaa juomaa, riippumattoja, puumajoja.. Ihan kiva, sinne voi tuoda omatkin eväät ja istua aurinkotuoliin ja vaan rentoutua. Aikuiset voi antaa lasten huoletta juoksennella ja nauttia vaikka raikkaasta mojitosta (oli hyvää!!!).

// My blog has been sleeping for a while again.. Not a lot has been going on this week. We went to Ikea to get a new chair for Angelo's "office", I've been working hard, been to the gym, enjoyed the random rays of sun and that's about it..

I've been surprised lately how little free time I have at home after work. I am not complaining of course because this is what I wanted but it's still a big change compared to before when I was randomly home during the week. Now the weekends are dedicated for relaxing and enjoying.

 Friday we went to a free festival called Casa Blanca. It was fun but I think I am getting too old because I can't enjoy such things when someone is constantly pushing me, pouring beer on me and the music isn't really my thing either. :-D I think it was way too crowded. I read that Friday alone there were 22 000 people, altogether during 4 days 80 000 which is 7 000 more than last year. 

Saturday we hit the city cuz Angelo still needed a suit for the wedding (more about that later). We found an amazing dark grey suit for him, I will post pictures after the wedding. Then we went to SummerBar. There's tons of things to do for children in the sand, in a little swimming pool thing and for adults good food, cheap drinks, hangmats and treehouses.. You can also bring your own food, sit on a sun chair and just relax. The adults can let their children run around and just sit back and enjoy an ice cold Mojito (delicious!!!!). :-)

In Antwerp everything is prohibited :-D

The perfect day

Angelo oli kotona taas, aurinko paistoi ja oli viikonloppu eli ei ollut kiire minnekään = täydellistä. 

Me päätettiin käydä kävelemässä koska ilma suosi kerrankin viikonloppuna. Suunnaksi me otettiin ihan uusi paikka minulle tuolla kanaalin toisella puolella. Mä tiesin et siellä on ranta, siis joku pieni hiekalla täytetty alue joka on kanaalin rannalla eli siellä ei saa uida, mutta siellä oli vaikka mitä! 

Mulla tuli heti sellanen lomafiilis ku me käveltiin sinne. Ensinnäkin se matka sinne ratikalta oli tosi ihana kun se polku meni kanaalin vieressä sellasen pienen puiston läpi. Sitten vastaan tuli jotenkin unohdetun oloinen venesatama koska se oli jotenkin niin syrjässä. Seuraavaksi meidän ihmetyksen kohteeksi sattui iso leirintäalue joka näytti niin symppikseltä että mä heti googlasin sen ku pääsin kotiin jos joku vaikka haluaa tulla matkailuaton kanssa tai teltan kanssa tänne ni mä tiedän täydellisen paikan! Sen alueen vieressä on sitten ulkoilma-allas, ravintoiloita kivan bulevardin varrella ja vihdoin se pienen pieni hiekkaranta. Olipas ihana fiilis upottaa varpaat hiekkaan. 


Nyt me päätettiin aina kun on hieno ilma ni käydä ihmettelemässä mitä kaikkea muuta ne on salannut meiltä :-)


// Angelo was home again, the sun was shining and since it was weekend we didn't have to hurry anywhere = perfect.

We decided to go for a walk to enjoy the good weather. We headed to a totally new place for me on the other side of the channel. I knew there was a beach, a.k.a a small area filled with sand alongside the channel which means you can't swim there, but there was so much more than that!

I got a nice holiday feeling from the moment we started to walk towards the area from the metro station. The pathway to the beach goes along the channel through a lovely park, no cars, just peace and quiet. Then we came across this little harbor that seemed all forgotten cuz it was so well hidden. After that we were amazed by this cosy camping that impressed me so much that I had to google it right away when I got home. If any of you has plans to come here with a mobile home or a tent, I know the place to be! There is next to the camping an open air swimming pool, a small boulevard full of restaurants and finally that cute little beach. It was such a great feeling to sink my toes in to the sand. 

So now  we decided to go have a walk every time it's good weather and go discover what else they hid from us :-)

Angelo is back!

Angelo tuli tänään takaisin Kreikasta. Nyt en ole enää yksin, jipii :-) Matka oli mennyt hyvin ja ennen kaikkea lämpöä oli riittänyt! Mä sain tietysi tuliaisia, ihanaa. Tosi kauniita koruja :-)

Tänään alkoi jalkapallokausi. Meillä on kausiliput paikallisen joukkueen Beerschotin peleihin. Ilma oli kivan kesäinen mutta peli hävittiin rankasti 2-4 :-(

//  Angelo came back today from Greece. I am not alone anymore, yay :-) The holiday was a success mostly due to the fact that it was very warm. He brought me presents, greaaat :-) Amazingly pretty jewellery!

The football season started today. We have season tickets for the games of our local team Beerschot. The weather was nice and warm but we lost badly 2-4 :-(

 

 

Cirque du soleil - Corteo

Olin eilen ystäväni Tingin kanssa katsomassa Cirque du soleil esitystä nimeltä Corteo. Aivan mahtava. Upea. Henkeäsalpaava. Ihana. Haluan takaisin. Ne tyypit ovat ihan hulluja!!

Mä sain koulun kautta 40% alennusta lipuista joten ajattelin että pakko käydä katsomassa kun se on niin lähellä ja saan halvallakin vielä. Me kun päästiin sinne niin sieltä tuli heti yks paikannäyttäjä kysymään että halutaanko me paremmat paikat, me tietty et tottakai! Meidän paikat olivat huonoimmasta päästä mutta nyt sitten istua täräytettiin kolmanteen riviin. Se esitys ei ollut loppuunmyyty joten ne sulki sieltä ne reunat missä me oltais istuttu ja siirsivät ihmiset tyhjille paikoille. Ne paikat joissa me sit istuttiin oli 100 euron arvoiset vaikka me maksettiin vain noin 30 euroa. Hieno homma, ei valitettu ;-) Siinä eturivissä kun istui ni ne kirjaimellisesti lensi meidän pään yli niin välillä se meininki vähän pelottikin.

Ennen kuin me lähdettiin me tilattiin sushia ja juotiin hienostuneina lasilliset kuplivaa siihen päälle. Me pistettiin oikein ranttaliksi haha. Tämä oli nyt toinen kerta ku söin sushia ja olen kyllä ihan fani, kiitos Tingin. En ikinä olis uskonut että se on niin maukasta, mutta usko pois se ei ole niin kalanmakuista ku vois kuvitella. Todella maukasta. Nam nam.


// I went to see Cirque du soleil - Corteo yesterday with my friend Ting. It was amazing. Gorgeous. Breathtaking. Lovely. I want to go back. Those guys were crazy!!

I got a 40% discount through my school so I thought I have to go see it cuz it's so close by and I got the tickets for almost nothing. When we got there, this guy came to ask us if we wanted better seats, we were like of course! They put us on the third row!! Our seats were from the lowest category and now we sat on 100 Euro seats though we paid only 30 Euro. We didn't complain ;-) By sitting in the front row they literally flew over our heads, it was even kinda scary at times. 

Before we  left we ordered sushi and drank like diva's a glass of bubbly with it. It was the second time I ate sushi, now I am a huge fan thanks to Ting. I never would have thought it would be so tasty but believe me it's not that fishy at all as you might think. It's soooo good. Yummyyy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Swedish meatballs

Mä kävin tänään uhmaamassa mun terveellistä ruokavaliota Ikeassa. Pakkohan mun nyt edes kerran on siellä käydä syömässä koska mä menen sen ohi joka päivä kun tulen töistä kotiin. Tänään en enää kestänyt ja kaarsin sinne! Otin 15 lihapullaa ja matkaan tarttui daim kakkupalakin! Hupsis. Mut se oli ihanaaaaa... Mmmhhh.. Töissä me syötiin ulkona (pistettiin vaan siihen keskellä parkkipaikkaa pöytä ja tuoleja) ja sitten joku kävi lähikaupasta ostamassa jäätelöä. Mmm magnum... :-) Olipas hyvä päivä. 
Mä olen yrittänyt saada väriä olkapäihin veljeni häitä varten mutta ne on vieläkin ihan valkoiset, höh..

// Today I screwed up my healthy eating habits and went to Ikea to eat meatballs. I took 15 of them and also a piece of Daim cake, which was heavenly by the way. I had to go there once to eat at least cuz I pass there every day on my way back from work. It was inevitable, right? We had lunch outside at work today, well we set a table and a few chairs in the middle of the parking and enjoyed the sun. Then someone went to get some ice creams from the store and my day was perfect. Mmm magnum... :-) I've tried to get some tan on my shoulders for the wedding of my brother but they are still so white.. Damn.. 

Sun, I've missed you!!

Nyt ystäväni aurinko tuli sieltä pilvien takaa näkyviin oikein kunnolla ja paistaa ihan siniseltä taivaalta :-) Mä lähdin heti nauttimaan ulkoilmasta kävellen kaupungilla töiden jälkeen. Ihanaa !!! Koko viikon pitäs olla näin ihana ilma ja jopa 30 astetta lämmintä! Eiku nauttimaan.

// Now my friend the sun came out behind the clouds and the sky is clear blue :-) I went to enjoy the weather immediately after work making a little walk in the city. This weather should last all week with temperatures going up to 30!!
