It's May!

Vappu tuli ja meni hiukan erilaisissa tunnelmissa tänä vuonna. Ei täällä juhlita mitenkään erikoisesti toukokuun ekaa päivää joten kävin töissä ja illalla koulussa ihan normaaliin tapaan. Teki kuitenkin mieli tehdä vielä jotain kivaa ja tekstasinkin suomalaiselle Mellille, ja hänellähän olikin jo kivoja suunnitelmia :-) Käytiin sitten kolmen suomalaisnaisen ja A:n voimin parilla drinksulla :-)

Keskiviikkona laitettiin hyvät kengät jalkaan ja nokka kohti kaupunkia. Aurinko paistoi siniseltä taivaalta, mutta tuuli pilas kivan kesäisen päivän ja teki siitä keväisen. Keväthän nyt vielä onkin! Käytiin torilla ja terrasilla ja illalla suomalaisella merimieskirkolla grillijuhlissa. Siel olikin oikein tosi komea osaanotto tällä kertaa! Oli vaimoa, miestä, lasta, pientä vauvaa (2 viikkoa vanha pallero :-D) ja yksi hauva. Söin makkaraa, perunasalaattia, maissia, halloumi juustoa, munkkia ja join simaa. Mahtavaa!!! En olis voinut parempaa vappua ajatellakkaan tiistaina, mutta kaikki onnistui ja oli ihan mahtavaa. :-) 

Väsy painaa ja töissä oli tänään karsea maaanatai fiilis, mutta huomenna on perjantai.. jipii :-) Viikonlopuksi ei ole muita suunnitelmia kuin vähän shoppailua ja sitten koulujuttuja. Kohta nekin on ohi, meinaa koulujutut.. Kesäkuussa saan vihdoin kandin paperit kirjanpidosta ja ranskan kielikurssikin loppuu. Ensi syksylle mulla on ihan toisenlaisia suunnitelmia.. Tai ken tietää mitä se kesä vielä saa mun päähän iskettyä! Eihän sitä koskaan voi opiskella liikaa ;-) Alla muutama kuva ihanasta cupcake kaupasta, jossa oli megaihania muffinsseja! 

// 1st of May came and went a little bit differently this year. In Finland it's a huge party and everyone goes outside with their graduation hats and champagne bottles. On Wednesday it's time for a picknick to get through the hangover ;-) People don't celebrate it really in Belgium so I just went to work and to my French class like always. During the evening I started to feel like I need something more and I texted Melli (from Finland) and asked what she was up to. She was indeed going for a drink so I totally invited myself :-D So with three Finnish ladies and A we headed off to the night for a few drinks. :-)

Wednesday we put on our walking shoes and headed to the city again. We walked around at the market, had some drinks in the sun and enjoyed the weather. It was beatiful with lots of sun and a blue sky but the wind made it more springish than summerish. But it is still spring so it's ok :-) In the evening we headed to the Finnish Seaman's church for a barbecue. I was so surprised to see so many people, I've never seen so many people there at once! There were wives, husbands, children, babies (2 weeks old aww) and a dog. I had sausage, potatoe salad, corn, cheese, doughnuts and drank some traditional Finnish drinks. Awesome :-) I couldn't have imagined a better first of May this year, it was amazing :-)

Now I'm so so tired and I had that horrible Monday feeling at work but luckily tomorrow it's Friday!! I don't have any plans for the weekend except some shopping and some schoolwork. Soon they are over also.. Schoolwork I mean. In June I will finally get my diploma bachelor in accountancy and my French classes will be over. I have totally other plans for September than school.. But you never know what I will come up with during the summer, cuz you can never study too much ;-) Below some pictures of the greatest cupcakes ever ever. SO delicious!!
